When I am doing my 2010 taxes where do I claim my RSP….not my RRSP….its only giving me an option to claim the RRSP…do I claim my RSP where it states RRSP contributions?

You might be thinking of RPP: Registered pension plan (RPP) deduction, which is on line 207.

If this is an RSP from ING Direct, it’s the same as an RRSP. They call it an RSP (retirement savings plan) and this excerpt from their website tells us why…

Please note that when we say “RSP” – we do mean “RRSP”. What’s the difference you ask? We eliminated one of the R’s since that’s the way most people say it – RSP. Just another little way we keep things simple. So don’t worry, our RSP is indeed a Registered Retirement Savings Plan once it’s registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). And it really does grow.

So much for keeping things simple ;-)
