Being a real estate agent won’t make you wealthy. Living way below your means and putting everything you can into rental real estate is the way to go. Buy them cheap, fix them up, rent them out, pay them off with the rents plus some of your other income, then buy more. I was a real estate agent for over 20 years, and recently retired in my mid-40’s on rental income. As an agent, you are only as good as your last deal. Paid-for rental property will give you an income (and some assorted headaches) for the rest of your life.
